Parents weren’t around for dinner tonight, so I happily drove myself to Mother’s Market for some vegan grub (the parentals don’t usually go for vegan fare).
I ordered a Tahini Fusion wrap. As you can see, it’s HUGE. I only managed to eat 1/3 of this, and I didn’t even make a dent in the brown rice that they put on the side.
From their website: Bean sprouts, tomatoes, organic mixed greens, grilled tempeh, brown rice, avocado and tahini dressing in a whole wheat chapati.
This was really delicious and I’m discovering that I REALLY love tempeh. Nutty soy goodness. I usually hate having leftovers, but I’m looking forward to eating this for the next couple of days.
From the deli case I picked up this Turtle Truffle Torte:
Going to eat this later tonight, will let you know how it is 🙂
Looks delish! And I love occasional nights of getting to eat whatever the hell I want.
I always look forward to those nights but half the time I can’t decide what I really want to eat! I think I should just do vegan from now on; will make my decision making easier.
looks so yummy. and vegan, that’s wonderful!
You like tempeh! Wow, I always leave that on my plate, I can’t seem to get my tastebuds acquired to the taste of it. I love giant servings of food, so I got really excited seeing the huge wrap haha.
Yeah! Somehow I really like the nutty taste and its funny texture. I prefer tempeh over seitan; I know for certain I can’t really handle seitan that well; it’s just a pure block of wheat gluten and it tends to mess with my GI tract . . . that I usually don’t enjoy things that are super chewy.
