Long overdue, but I finally did it. I was tagged by the lovely Wei-Wei back in August (check out her great video). I’ve used some of my favorite photos from my flickr to supplement my answers; read along and maybe you’ll learn something new about me 🙂
If I were a dessert, I’d be a cookie (my first dessert love, and the first thing I really learned how to bake). My love for cookies such that I’ll eat weeks-old cookies that are dry, hard and stale and STILL think they taste delicious.
If I were a pair of shoes, I’d be a pair of black canvas converse. Been rocking them since high school. Comfy and classic.
If I were a color, I’d be green.
If I were a season, I’d be autumn.
or winter. There’s something about the anticipation of the holiday season, the chill of the morning and night air and feeling cozy in warm sweaters and blankets.
If I were a time of day, I’d be twilight. That time of the day is so beautiful . . .
If I were a song, I’d be No Surprises by Radiohead (view the video here.)
I know there’s a million different ways you can interpret that song, but it’s so beautiful and it’s one of the few songs that can bring me to tears.
If I were a natural phenomenon, I’d be a rainstorm. Nothing makes me happier than listening to the sound of raindrops on the roof.
If I were a flower, I’d be a lotus.
If I were a city, I’d be Berkeley. I’ll always have a special spot for the home of my alma mater.
If I were a language, I’d be Taiwanese.
If I were an instrument, I’d be the piano. It’s an instrument that I started learning when I was four years old. It’s been a while since I’ve last had lessons, but I still play from time to time.
If I were a flavor, I’d be bitter/sweet.
If I were an emotion, I’d be hope.
I’m not tagging anyone since it’s been so long since I’ve received the meme, but for anyone who wants to play along, please leave a comment and a link to your blog entry! I’d love to see your answers 🙂
Oh Pinjing I just love this post! I’m listening to No Surprises right now, I only downloaded it after I saw this. It really is quite heartbreaking. I watched the video, too. Any other Radiohead suggestions? 😉
great post! I am starting to like autumn and winter more too as I get older because cold weather brings out the nostalgia
I especially love and resonate with what you said about winter.
@Wei-Wei: I’m a big Radiohead fan, so I’d would recommend any of their albums. I’ve been listening to In Rainbows a lot lately (which is their latest album) and it’s one of my favorites.
@Daisy: Nostalgia is a big part of why I enjoy these seasons so much! 🙂
@Melly: Thank you for your comment! Winter is just a beautiful season.
This list is really brilliant!
@alexandria: Thank you 😀
